Experience Rhoneymeade
Rhoneymeade is a place for…
Tranquil Exploration…& Artistic Expression
A special request to all of our Rhoneymeade friends!
Spring has arrived and volunteers are busy planning expanded activities at our beautiful arboretum.
But we need your help!
We receive no government funds other than a few small grants. Our funding is all local.
Mark May 14th & 15th on your calendar. We will join Centre Gives which helps all the non profit groups that serve our community. It’s easy to donate-follow this link to Rhoneymeade’s profile on the Centre Gives website https://centregives.org/organizations/128-rhoneymeade. Have your credit card handy. Your participation will also help us win other special awards courtesy of a large donor who has provided extra incentive funds.
The more friends we have participating, the more opportunity that your gift will be multiplied!
Special note-we are again participating in the free tree giveaway provided by Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Interfaith Power & Light. Also, two new programs-don’t miss our new Children’s Nature Area event on May 31 and regular events posted by the Communi-Tea Garden herbalists.
A special thanks for your support from all of our volunteers.

Looking ahead to 2025 - Susan Nicholas will be teaching plein air painting next June.

THE CENTURY TREE ADOPTION PROJECT
Adopt a tree planted 100 years ago! Your contribution will aid in care for this tree by a professional arborist.
A plaque bearing the name of the tree, your name or someone you wish to memorialize will be inscribed on an indestructible bronze plaque at the base of the tree.
THE ALDO LEOPOLD BENCH PROJECT
Purchase a hand-carved bench made with locally sourced wood bearing your name or the name of someone you may wish to memorialize.
Aldo Leopold, a beloved environmentalist, liked simple but firm structure. The bench will be placed on Rhoneymeade property to be used by all visitors. The plaque is made of weather resistant material and will be secured to the back of the bench.
ADOPT A RHONE HOUSE ROOM PROJECT
Adopting a room in the Rhone house will contribute to appropriate historic restoration from floors to ceiling.
The name of the room along with your name will be inscribed on a beautiful bronze plaque placed outside of the room entrance.
